About Hyrox Handbook
Hyrox Handbook is an independent resource for athletes racing or training for Hyrox. It's not affiliated with HYROX GmbH. It's not a commercial PR site. It's the resource we wished existed when we were prepping for our first race and couldn't find honest information about course layouts, gear, or pacing.
What we publish
- City + event race guides - venue intel, course preview, climate-specific gear, training plans tailored to the event.
- Gear reviews - shoes, vests, sandbags, apparel. Tested by athletes, not just unboxed.
- Technique guides - station-specific form work for SkiErg, sled push, sandbag lunges, wall balls, etc.
- Training plans - 12 and 16-week structured progressions for first-timers through Pro division.
Who we are
Hyrox Handbook is published by Kitaborn, an independent publisher of purposeful niche books. We make logbooks, planners, and practical guides for people who want a tool they'll actually use - not another notebook collecting dust.
Our flagship product, the Hyrox Training Logbook, is a 16-week structured journal designed specifically for the Hyrox race format.
Editorial standards
Every article on this site is fact-checked against current Hyrox event data and athlete
testing. Where we can't verify a claim independently, we mark it [VERIFY]
until confirmed. Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of each article per FTC guidelines.
We don't publish AI-generated articles unedited. We use AI to draft and outline, but every article is reviewed and edited by a human before publishing. If you spot an error, please reach out - we update articles when readers flag issues.
